I have some new free sheet music for you! It's the second in my Scripture Songs For Kids series. I will include scriptures from the Book of Mormon as well as the Bible in the series. I wrote THIS song to help my children memorize Proverbs 3:5-6. We had worked on memorizing it without music for long enough and they just weren't all getting it. Music is such an effective tool to help things stick! AND now it can get stuck in your head.
In a week or two I will post my kiddos singing this song so that those of you who don't read music can teach it to your kiddos as well!

The Good Shepherd Free Sheet Music
The Good Shepherd is one of the first songs I wrote. It came so easily and naturally. I love the lyrics. They mean so much to me.
For many years I fell away. I was away so long that I completely lost everything I once knew. There are many times during those years that I can point to and say that I know the Lord was still reaching for me and people's prayers for me were making a difference. When I look back at those times, I know that no matter where I was, or how disconnected from God I was, Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ's love for me never diminished. They never stopped reaching. Their arms were out stretched still. Everything they do for all of God's children is out of love.

Because His love I choose Him still
Because His love he carries home his lost sheep
Because His love he carries me still."
We love Him because He first loved us. I know that "Of all the things this world can offer me, none compares to what my Father wants for me." Sometimes what the Lord wants for us looks hard or painful at first, sometimes it IS hard or painful, but I know he does everything out of His love for us. If we will cling to Christ through our challenges, we will be purified, strengthened, and comforted. We will be shown how to feel joy even through hard times. (Click HERE to read more about having joy in trials.) Of course there will also be joyful times where we will see clearly that the gifts and blessings that brought those circumstances came from God.
I hope that if you share this song, or even sing it in your front room, that you and others are able to feel a piece of the love, comfort and joy, that Heavenly Father has for them.

Free Halloween Sheet Music - Level 3
My 9 year old son asked for a Halloween song to learn on the piano this month. Of course it would be too easy to just find one in all of our books! I love this song and remember singing it in elementary school. I wanted him to be able to play THIS ONE! :) So, I would estimate this at a level 3 piano song. You could also have it be a duet and you could play along with your level 2 child. I wanted to add finger numbers as well as dynamics but I don't know how to do the finger numbers on Finale and the dynamic markings were competing with the lyrics and that was no good. So basic, basic is what we get! Enjoy!

Secret Prayer
Hope you like this version of Secret Prayer! Pretty simple. Prayer helps give us eternal perspective and helps us to feel God's heart and mind. It pulls us out of our wishes and helps us see God's purposes, and when we still don't understand, it helps us to feel God's love, peace, and comfort. It is a boon that can unite our souls with heaven. :)
