I arranged a duet of "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing" about a year ago for my sister and I to sing on "The Gurrs" album that is still in progress. The way I wrote the harmonies and the way we sang them ended up a little different. We ended up singing a few more unison notes than I had originally written, but I think it turned out quite nicely, so that is the way I put it into the sheet music. This could of course be done with a tenor singing the soprano line. I hope you all enjoy it! Let me know if you have trouble opening and printing the file! Feel free to sing and play this in church or wherever you feel, just no recording of this version as it is ours. Thanks!
We look forward to finishing the album (hopefully this summer) so that you can hear my sister and singing it!
Blessings,
Amber

Let me know what you think!
To print it you have to download it to your computer.
P.S. There is one typo off note in the accompaniment MEASURE 29, treble clef accompaniment, last 16th note is an A not a G
K so I have a Google account that I'm always signed onto, but it wouldn't let me access this. I requested for it to ask your permission---so let me know what happens. Awesome that you got it done!! xoxo

Okay, hopefully now everyone will have access. Let me know if you have any problems!
ReplyDeleteAwesome...now I can have your awesome accompianment!! You are so talented Am! Love you, way to go!!!
ReplyDeleteSays file complies with PDF/A and opens for read-only......grrrrrrrr...still working on it. On mom's computer and printer.....
ReplyDeleteOkay, if you download it to your computer you can then print it. Love you guys. :) Thanks Mandy!
ReplyDeleteThere is one fowl note that I've now discovered....it's in the accompaniment (sorry I don't have time to check the measure right now). It's on the right hand...when it's playing an octave higher I believe, and it has either a high g or b and it's supposed to be an A. I intend to correct this on the music and download the corrected version when I have more time! Let me know if you find any more mistakes! Sorry I'm not a perfect editor!
ReplyDeleteCORRECTION: MEASURE 29, treble clef accompaniment, last 16th note is an A not a G!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for publishing this music! My daughter and friend were asked to sing for a service and we looked and looked for a great arrangement for two voices of Come Thou Fount. When we saw that you were working this with your sister--two close female voices--we thought it might be a good match for us. It was wonderful! This was a gift, a kindness, a shared devotion. Thank you thank you!
ReplyDeleteDiane, I'm so glad! Bless you!
DeleteWould love to try it! Can't get it to open, to download. Suggestions?

Becky

ReplyDeleteIs there an instrumental accompaniment that can be used with the sheet music?
ReplyDeleteThank you for your beautiful arrangement. It is just what I needed for a missionary farewell.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI am a music teacher in Nebraska. I would like to use your duet of "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing" for a male/female duet at a music festival. Do I have your permission to use it as such, instead of the SA as written?
Thank you,
Ellie Anderson
